What should be on a wedding invitation?
It seems so obvious what to write on a wedding invitation. But when you get to the point of writing your own wedding invitation, you suddenly have hardly any ideas, you know? I remember that when organizing our own wedding, I searched for a long time before I managed to find all the necessary information. That's why I collected them in one place, so it will be easier for you :) First of all, you need to decide what kind of invitation we want to put together.
Here you only need the most basic information:
- your names
- the date of the wedding and possibly the venue
Regarding the venue, it's okay if you don't have the exact location yet, but it's worth specifying the city so that your guests can take it into account.
One-page invitation
Not much can fit on one page without it being too crowded, so you have to choose what information you absolutely must include on a one-page invitation. What I think is definitely worth including:
- the names
- the exact time (date + start time)
- the location (church/mayor's office/event venue)
Two-page invitation
A two-page invitation is actually an expanded version of the one-page invitation. So, along with the previously mentioned, these are worth including on the two-page invitation:
- the names
- the exact time
- the location
- a quote
- a gift (it is worth clarifying the method of this to avoid later misunderstandings)
- feedback (where and how long they can give feedback on their participation)
